Monika Dickson

"I have always enjoyed painting, the simple act of pressing paint onto canvas seems so unimportant, yet when you step back something magical happens... those lines, swirls and colours turn into a recognizable thing of beauty."

Doug Wright

Doug Wright

"At the age of five, I got my first camera and developed an interest in Nature. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to travel twice around the world with many side trips along the way. I have seen and done a lot of wonderful things in my travels, and found that my photography was the best way to share them with family, friends and you!"

Levin Rodriguez

"Photography allows me to immerse myself in something that I feel passionate about while providing a vehicle to escape from my otherwise ordinary life. I try to capture images that either are pleasant and communicate a feeling or that are meant to challenge your mind and ask yourself 'what is that'."

Helen Walter

"I love stories and I always look for the narrative in a scene. There usually is one, even when it's not immediately apparent. In my art, I try to tell the story I felt when I first looked at the scene.

I hope that if you look closely, you'll see the story too."

Keith Thirgood

"I want to share the joy I find in nature, objects and life in general. While running my marketing and communications business with my partner Helen keeps me extremely busy, I still find the need to express myself too powerful to ignore."

Audra Noble

Audra Noble

"I create a visual representation of a 'soundbed' by layering photography and contemporary painting concepts into a compilation of images and text, material and media. My work evolves as I decide how to create the layers that produce a new artistic experience. Technological change is a rapidly ongoing reality. I collage photographs or any or other material on various papers because my subject matter creates a powerful experience and I can adjust my materials to get across my point."

Franklin Beecham

Frank Beecham

"My travels from Europe to Asia, North and most recently South America, have taught me to appreciate a variety of art forms, infinite colours and the randomness of nature. I apply these experiences to my own works with an array of many styles and techniques, implementing my own sense of colour and stroke."

Diana Bick

Diana Bick

"I started drawing and painting when I was a young girl.  My initial passion was watercolour which I did for many years; however, when I visited galleries I was always attracted to acrylic pieces, especially abstract work.  This lead to my focus being on Mixed Media Acrylics.  It intrigues me to prepare canvases, layer paint and papers and often odd items, such as old keys, to creative a finished piece."

Vera Walton

"Painting is a form of escape for me.  The beauty I see in the world inspires me, whether it’s an amazing colour of the sky or a face shining with joy, it uplifts and I want to hold on to that feeling by painting and expressing some of the beauty from within.

When I paint, I am immersed in that world of beauty and completely forget all else. It’s almost as if time stood still. I hope that people will see something in my paintings that would create in themselves a feeling of joy or evoke an emotion that touches their soul. "

Murray Pipher

Murray Pipher

"I am a senior citizen, a lover of the rural scene, a keen observer of nature and a devotee of local heritage.

I love to explore the play of light and shadow on natural forms and to present a unique view of familiar things. While I have a wide interest of subject matter – from wild flowers to local streetscapes, traditional farm life is my favourite. I keep my camera with him at all times in order to capture whatever catches my interest.

We are blessed to live in such an interesting part of the world. I want my art to reflect the beauty around us."

James Lee

"I love drawing, ever since I was small, and I enjoy plein-air in particular. Knowing how to draw is a great blessing, because the process of painting brings me close to nature to appreciate its immense beauty, and compels me to adore it. Through painting the whole world discloses itself to me. One single tree or even one single grass blade is such an amazing piece of art when you look at it. God’s creation is so awesome. I am touched every single time when I look at His work. Oh God, would you give me sufficient time to admire your masterpiece of art?"
